Yamanashi Prefecture has a variety of pleasant accommodation facilities near the sports grounds, enabling athletes to focus during training, and relax when resting. The facilities can offer a range of services to meet the needs of the athletes, including serving meals with calorie restrictions, and other original dishes.

A substantial range of diverse facilities

Yamanashi Prefecture has the most accommodation facilities in Japan (as of 2012 *per 100,000 population). From large city hotels with the latest facilities, to traditional inns boasting natural Onsen hot springs, you can choose from a range of options to suit your preferences.

There are facilities which offer services to suit the needs of guests, including foreign language support, Internet access, handling dietary requirements, preparing beds for tall athletes and laundry services, etc.

Established system for medical care provision

There are over 700 medical facilities in the prefecture which can provide services in English.
Also, medical institutions have been established systematically to offer emergency care, which includes operations and inpatient treatment.

Kofu National Hospital (Kofu City)

This hospital has a “Center for the Treatment of Sports and Knee-related Ailments,” which is aimed at proactively treating injuries caused by participation in sports, and knee joint-related ailments in particular. The hospital thus proactively engages in activities for its patients, with a focus on athletes.

Yamanashi Prefectural Central Hospital (Kofu City)

This hospital has the only emergency and critical care center in Yamanashi Prefecture.

University of Yamanashi Hospital (Chuo City)

This hospital completed the construction of a new ward in 2015. It has an environment enabling the provision of cutting-edge medical care.

Fujiyoshida Municipal Medical Center (Fujiyoshida City)

This facility serves as the core regional hospital in the northern foot area of Mt. Fuji, and thus provides medical care for the region.

Yamanashi Red Cross Hospital (Fujikawaguchiko Town)

This hospital is located next to Lake Kawaguchiko, and is close to Fuji Hokuroku Park.

Convenient spots and leisure facilities

One of the attractions of Yamanashi Prefecture is its harmony between nature and urban convenience.
