Site Managers from the French Rugby Federation Come to Inspect Fujihokuroku Park

With the 2020 Tokyo Olympics drawing near, Yamanashi Prefecture and Fujiyoshida City are working hard to putfinishing touches to the pre-games training camps that will be used by the French Rugby Team. Following the signing of a Letter of Intent in December 2016, the general manager of the Men’s Sevens team and the manager of the Women’s Sevens team visited Yamanashi Prefecture in order to inspect the facilities at Fujihokuroku Park, which will be used as the main practice field, and the pool at Showa University as well as two places being considered for sleeping accommodations. General Manager Christophe Reigt gave an outstanding review: “I had seen the facilities at Fujihokuroku Park on video before, but seeing them in person was an entirely different experience. They are, as we imagined, superb. We feel very satisfied . . . I also was moved by the view, seeing Mt. Fuji right in front of my eyes. I am eagerly awaiting getting to use Yamanashi’s pre-gamestraining camp.”
