Signing of a Agreement between Thai Amateur Weightlifting Association and Fuefuki City

On December 27th, Fuefuki City signed an agreement with the Thai Amateur Weightlifting Association (TAWA) on the implementation of their 2020 Tokyo Olympic preliminary training camp.

The signing ceremony held at Fuefuki City Hall was attended by Sakamoto Seijiro, Superintendent of Education, and Meechai Inwood, Vice Chairman of TAWA’s Advisory Board. They signed an agreement stating that the city will arrange accommodation facilities in which the national athletes will stay and that TAWA will participate in exchange projects with local citizens.

According to the Municipal Board of Education’s Lifelong Learning Division, the pre-training camp will be held annually starting from the next fiscal year. In 2018, the first camp will be held in April and the second in July, each lasting for about one to two weeks respectively.
